Guided tour of Nernier: in the eye of the painters

Nicknamed the "Village of Painters" in the 50s, Nernier has inspired many artists. Follow in the footsteps of Enrico Vegetti, Bernard Lacroix, Jacques Marchand, Ellis Zbinden and other artists who have left their mark on the village's history.

In the 1950s, Nernier acquired the nickname "Village des Peintres" (Village of Painters) thanks to the presence of numerous artists who found an inexhaustible source of inspiration in its picturesque lanes, colorful facades and Lake Geneva landscapes.
Accompanied by a Savoie Mont Blanc Heritage Guide, discover this rich artistic history through the works and careers of painters, potters and visual artists who have left their mark on the village. Enrico Vegetti, Bernard Lacroix, Jacques Marchand and Ellis Zbinden are just some of the artists who have contributed to Nernier's cultural renown.
The visit will also provide an opportunity to explore the village's architectural heritage and the imprint left by architect Morice Novarina.
A walk through art, heritage and landscapes, to discover Nernier through the eyes of those who have painted, shaped and celebrated it.
